Jewelry CAD/CAM
Designers and Associates is the first company
to introduce hybrid modeling to the 3D jewelry
CAD industry. This highly advanced method,
already used in the auto and aerospace industries,
allows you to simultaneously work with surfaces,
solids, and wireframes. No other jewelry design
program available today uses this method.
If you have never used a jewelry design program
before, it is hard to describe how important
a difference this makes in your own design
work. The biggest benefit though is in the
time saved. Other programs, due to their limited
capabilities, may take several steps to produce
one outcome. With Monarch’s more powerful
hybrid modeling engine, many of these steps are
“automated” into one command,
greatly reducing the number of steps and therefore
your design time.
For example, if you wanted to inlay a name
into the surface of a ring, all you have to
do in Monarch is type in the name, enter the
inlay depth, and combine the name with the
ring. This process takes literally minutes
to do.
In other programs, you would have to join
each individual point of the letters, extrude
each individual point to your inlay depth,
and attach each individual point to the surface
of the ring. A typical six-letter name could
have 80 points or more – meaning at
least 240 steps for a simple inlay. For more
intricate designs, the number of points could
increase dramatically, adding up to hours
of tedious (and needless) work for the designer.
This is just one example of how powerful
Monarch’s hybrid modeling system really
is. As you can imagine, Monarch will save
you a tremendous amount of time by eliminating
these tedious steps. The end result is a faster,
more enjoyable experience – you spend
less time trying to get the software to do
what you want it to do and more time designing!

us with other 3D jewelry design programs.
You’ll see for yourself how Monarch’s
hybrid modeling is light years ahead of the
competition.
