 Using
Monarch’s Morphing Tools is like modeling
with wax, except in a virtual environment.
For example, you can twist, taper, skew, bend,
and extend your original geometrical shape
into a “morphed” object. There
are several available tools to help you craft
that perfect shape – tools that are
not available in any other software package.
Monarch allows you to morph surfaces, poly-surfaces,
solids, or any combination of those, then
easily combine (Boolean) it with other elements
in your design.
This gives the designer working in Monarch
many advantages over those using other software
programs. For example, if you are using a
certain element in several different pieces
– say a heart-shape – you can
design it once and “morph” it
to fit every piece. Take that heart from a
pendant, then size and shape it to fit the
contours of a ring. Make it larger and add
a gemstone for a design element of a broach.
With other software, you would have to recreate
the heart for each piece.
