 The
Virtual Sculpting add-on tool (sold separately)
works within the Monarch environment, allowing
you to take a two-dimensional image like a
digital photo or line graphic and turn it
into a 3D element automatically. The Sculpting
tool takes teh image and “puffs”
it up into a “2.5D” relief (3D
with flat background). You can then take this
relief and further manipulate it.
Monarch is so versatile that you can actually
create your own sculpting tools within the
software. Control size, shape, and amount
of height to virtually sculpt the relief even
further. Highlight certain items of the image,
change the shape of others, or use the relief
as a starting point to create a completely
new model.
This technique is useful for creating customized
pendants, corporate jewelry, and other pieces
from customer photos, company logos, etc.
